How Your Subs Are Spent
Your subs are managed carefully by our treasurer and are subjected to financials on an annual basis.
- Planning & Development - we have a dedicated Town Planner who assists us with objections and represents us at Tribunals. From time to time, we engage the services of a lawyer to represent the residents when permission is unreasonably given.
- Johannesburg Heritage Foundation (JHF)
- Johannesburg CAN membership
- We take on projects as and when we have the support of residents to assist with them.
- Landscape project to clean/clear problem areas.
- Community Policing Forum - oversight function of the Norwood Police station.
Thank you to all those residents who have made contributions and in order to more, we encourage more residents to do the same.

We have several positions within the committee that need to be filled, and are open to new ideas and portfolios.
Street Captains
We would like to complete the Street Captain initiative. As a Captain, your role will be to help the LHRA communicate with residents of your street which will include:
- Objection forwarding
- Collection of subscriptions
- Setting up a street WhatsApp group
- Advise residents on security or municipal issues
- Create a sense of community within your street
